Rise of Realism's 'Side Red, Blue, Green, Black and Purple' is the musical result of an Amsterdam-based group of musicians. The format they chose is an unconventional one. Instead of bringing out a CD as bands normally would, they opted for a 5 EP CD box. Each EP has its own flavour and style.
"We tried to replicate the feeling you have when you are listening to a vinyl record. You take the LP out of the sleeve and then choose either side 1 or side 2 and then listen for 20-30 minutes to the side as a whole. The digital music revolution is fantastic for the artist's independence but as the music industry has become a single's market now, we wanted to bring some of the completeness of an album back to the listener."
